「ロックマンX8」Rockman X8 Playthrough (JAP) — Part 2, Pitch Black - Darkneid Kamakil

I decided to upload everything X8 related. Today and tomorrow will only consist of X8 uploads. Sorry about that. I’ve beaten the game yesterday, finally, and want to show everyone what japanese version is like in its entirety. I want to do the same thing to X1 and IHX too, but they can wait XD Also, starting with Gigabolt Dokragen’s stage, the quality of videos will go slightly up ’cuz I was able to switch editing programs. Darkneid Kamakil, you’re the winner of the award “the most edgy Irregular name 2004\5“, what will your words be? Jokes aside, this guy marks the last appearance of repliroid blood in X series. It wasn’t shown anywhere else since. I can’t even show you that move which makes the oil burst out of playable character since I... kinda started to be good at the game. Impressive, I think? At least you still can see the fact he wipes his “mouth“ in the stage intro and before facing off with him. This is a stelth stage. Haven’t seen other stealth stages in this series so i assume it’s one of the kind and... it’s pretty nice. Although the soundtrack doesn’t have any of the “after Classic series“ type of music the series is known for, it still fits. I was thinking about replacing the track here, but then I decided against it. There’re still some problems present though (it is not because of the stage design, but because of the general difficulty of this stage if the lights are turned off) - if you get spotted by those spotlights, you’ll be stuck in an endless (at least it seems endless) enemy ambush and you’ll probably not make it out alive. Also there’s one segment near the end where a shining MAME-Q guides you through the dark room filled with spikes, breakable boxes and some enemies. You can destroy that MAME-Q if you’ll continue shooting at it, and then you’ll be in a pitch-black room not really knowing where to go to not hit the spikes, so be careful here. This stage also has the fisrt and second (for me personally) capsule that can be accessed without having a boss weapon (counting the one in Noah’s Park too, of course.). So we pick up our parts and then go to our spooky scary mantis buddy. I love this guy. This voice is awesome, especually those “yo“s and “oi-oi“s :D He is not that hard to beat, actually. DARKneid Kamakil that lives in the DARK is weak to the light weapons that we got from Sunfloward. If you have his weakness and Axl (because Ray Gun makes aiming at this jumping beast much easier) - this should be piece of cake until he starts his Overdrive. I figured it out at the Gateway, but then, “spoiler“ Lumine also does that attack in his boss fight and you need to act differently here and after that I got confused so I’ll not explain that any further. But eventually, we kill him. Then there goes that freaking scene that made question what is going on and if I still was playing the same platformer about robots killing other robots. The scene itself is rather comical in some way and there’s nothing wrong about it... but that suggestive music, jeez. And what’s better, this track was done only for this moment in the game and it’s the only theme that doesn’t get repeated in the game at least one more time. Why the heck did they make this even? Is it because of Layer’s design that she should have an energy like that? Well, that’s true for the modern parts of this series at least.
