「ロックマンX7」Rockman X7 Walkthrough (JP, ENG SUB) — Part 0, Crimson Fortress, Highway - Mega Scorpio

Be sure to turn on the captions for English translation! ^.^ Присутствует перевод на русский! o.o ===== I recommend you to read through a prequel of X7 as well as Axl and Red’s character profiles from this game’s original soundtrack’s booklet. It was fully translated by MMKB’s users so you don’t need to know Japanese to understand it! Ōgon_no_Hibi I only planned on translating the stroy bits of this game so navigation stuff won’t be translated, for now, at least (I decided to leave it there for my Japanese viewers and in case that I would want to translate those bits as well in some weird future, ho-ho) ===== Since Windii is planning on translating the entire X-series soon and since my X Anniversary Collection started to work proparly all of the sudden, I decided to go through this game once more! I could’ve started the whole thing on the day of X7’s 18th anniversary (which is July 17th), but I wanted to start posting it ASAP ’cuz I still don’t want my translation to get overshadowed by his because my recordings were pretty low quality XD So, uuuh, I wanna tell you how much trouble I had trying to make this collection work as I wanted it. Not only I wasted an entire year before it just magically fixed the slowdowns on X7 and X8, but also, for some unexplained reason, X Anniversary Collections, despite of being released after Classic’s Collections, don’t have a full keyboard support. You can only set ASDFZXCV and arrow keys which is not how I wanted to play any of these games included in this collection. I was planning on trying a software that remaps the keyboard keys for you, but it was asking for administrator rights which threw me off (but what was I expecting from a software like this?). I ended up bying a controller and... well, I still didn’t quite get used to it (which you’ll see in Gungaroon episode), but I sure started to play a bit better than before. Let’s talk about the game for a bit. X7 is, by all means, not a good game. But, because of how it was my first and the most passionate translation (from Japanese in particular) project, it weirdly feels nostalgic to me and makes me come back from time to time, mostly to test the new equipment. That warm feeling gets shattered once I get to Flame Hyenard’s stage, however XD Localization of X7 is something that made this product even worse. Its story was decent in my opinion, but the small changes done to the characters in that official translation (mostly present with Axl) is what brings it all down. It already had some problems, sure, but it was good for a new protagonist’s introduction. All that localization made me want to do to Axl was to throw a brick into this brat’s dumb face XD Well... I don’t know what else to say. The last scene of this episode is probably the longest cutscene in the game, if not in the entire series (excluding Command Mission). Also I had to play through this and Gungaroon’s stages just because I’ve finally solved the “tin can audio“ problem, I’ve been trying to upload this video and this translation for 3 whole days now aaaaaagh.
