「ロックマンX8」Rockman X8 Playthrough (JAP) — Part 9, Jacob - VAVA V

...and collecting the rest of Icarus and Hermes Armor parts, as well as the last encounters the Player might actually miss. Yes, you can encounter VAVA V after 8 Irregulars only at the Noah’s Park. I’ve actually encountered him on accident when I was playing through the game for the second time (I played in it in a total of 6 times). It really suprised me since I haven’t heard of this before I myself encountered him there, when I was getting the Rare Metals I’ve missed. It shows that X8 really has the replayability some other entries lack. I really love that. So, probably this one stage is loved by many at least for its amazing soundtrack. This entire stage that gives a really epic vibes of going up to the destination in order to save the home world while hords of enemies try to stop you from succeeding. My mains throughout the journey were Axl, X and Pallette, and because this game has only three final stages, that team will be used by me at the final (as of now) Sigma Palace. Until then, I’m trying other combinations. Here it was Alia, X and Zero. I kinda wish I’ve used Axl and Zero combo, since it would’ve saved a lot of nerves for me at the Jacob and at the Gateway especially. The only problem you might have here is that damned Guardroid with unbreakable shield which needs to be hit from behind or by shooting down at them\using Enkoujin above them (something that I;ve learned AFTER I was done recording the main story bits. Don’t be like me, please) and falling of the platform that carries you up (which was fixed in X DiVE so you can’t fall off it at all, but that’s just a piece of trivia for you, guys. Nothing more). Those electric MAME-Qs are not a problem if you have Zero with his long stick I hope every single player had unlocked until this point. When we reach the top... yeah, of course VAVA V will greet us here. So he askes hunters did they guessed what’s going on or still not. The Orbital Elevator... the energy, the space minerals... the rocket data... - it all was something that let everyone survive for this long. In short, the new world they are trying to build is in the space. A HEAVEN for those who’s strong enough to evolve and is overall worthy to be letted in there. Story will really repeat itself in the distant future, although in a slightly different way. Will it? Also, another thing that is creeping me out. I don’t remember if i’ve mentioned this already, but... here VAVA calls X, well, “X“, Zero as “Zero“, and Axl... as “bouyo“. Sure, he hasn’t met him before, but... the only character in entire game that truly knows Axl’s name was Optic Sunfloward. Yes, my favorite flowey. And yes, I didn’t show that in my main playthrough, but I’ve recorded that dialogue: And who is Sunfloward? They’re heavily connected to the Cyberspace. Who else was connected to it? Snipe Ariquick. Why is that important? Cyberspace stores all digital data and it doesn’t really have a normal meaning of time we’re familiar with. Ariquick was able to pull the data out of it and ask Zero if what he has saw was true: “Is it a memory of the future, or a false image of the past?.. The world that is ruled by a fake - blue. And the destroyer which was sealed away - red...“ Ariquick LOOKED into the future - Rockman Zero series to be exact, although he wasn’t able to see everything, only a small glimpse of it. What I think is... Sunfloward probably did the same to tell Axl something to make him join their side while it’s not too late. They wasn’t able to see something about Axl’s past - something that really bothers him a lot, even a long time after he joined the Hunters, but here we still might not be sure if the the theory of Axl really having a different life (maybe even the name) before the Red Alert is true or not. We sure know he has the amnisia (it was 100% confirmed in a SNK vs CAPCOM DS card game spin-off and it makes me worried as I’ll probably need to dig those cross-overs too). We just doesn’t know THE CASE of his amnisia. Back on track, VAVA V is a walk in the park until he enters the Overdrive. I can’t donge this without using the moves that make character invincible, so this is kinda why I didn’t use the full Icarus Armor (I could use the full Hermes Armor, but I like the red one more). The game CHUGS when I use the dash (I might use Raikoujin, but it’s riskier), but at least I’m not panicing and dying from this attack. But VAVA doesn’t die when we finish him off - he just retrieves. We’ll encounter him once more soon though... Here it goes, the scene that was translated a bit off. So here Zero tells Layer exactly what had happened to him over the years, what Sigma and Irregulars used him for, and it all actually ends kinda like “Navigate me to the end“ and not “Be my Navigator“. It still means the same, kinda, but still, a change is a change. Gateway is next... Gotta beat up the baddies once more!
