「ロックマンX8」Rockman X8 Playthrough (JAP) — Part 3, Primrose - Gravitate Ant-Onion

Feeling a bit down for some reason. So instead of editing, I’ll finally continue to upload X8. Primrose also had a different OST, pretty much like Troia Base and some other compositions. I liked this version a lot and decided to use it as a stage theme. I even made my own extension! Primrose isn’t really hard at the beginning, but then some problems start to show up. For example, the ways the one can get the armor parts here. I decided to play it really safe since I was always touching the spikes otherwise and robots hate spikes. You shouldn’t be afraid of any Sigmas, Dr. Wilys and other crazy peop... characters. Spikes are your arch-nemesis that kills you in one single touch. Then there’s Spike Blocks mid-boss... but it got replaced by VAVA. Nice, I’ll not need to go through that borefest of a boss in this recording, luckily. We have some stuff to discuss with our walking arsenal. Can I just say that his voice here is actually amazing? It generally made me jump out of my seat when I first heard it, but I love it. VAVA is not really hard. He only does two attacks here, you just need to maneuver quicky but carefull between the energy shots he launches and you’re good to go. His weakness is Drift Diamond that I currently don’t have. I also have some problems with one of the last segments of this stage that has a spike pit, gravity shifting switches, moving blocks, a lot of those dumb wheel enemies and one weapon for Zero. I use Axl’s A-Trans here, but, as you can see, I usually get that thing ang go away from that segment badly damaged. Be more careful than me, please. And we finally reach our main boss - Gravitate Ant-Onion - ant-like repliroid scientist who studies anti-gravity. Actually, he’s kinda disappointing when you know how to use his weakness - Darkneid Kamakil’s weapons. I’m bad at using Zero’s Rasetsusen, so Axl’s Black Arrow and X’s Shadow Runner are my best options here. Ant-Onion’s Overdrive isn’t that hard eighter, you just need to react fast or, at hte very lears, remember where the blocks will drop. Since I used Double Attack on VAVA beforehand, I wasn’t able to finish him off in style. I’ll do that once to a main non-refight boss in the future for a logical reason, but until then, enjoy this unsatisfying ending to an unsatisfying fight. After this, there goes the scene where Irregular Hunters are thinking about what might be the reason behind an Irregular activity among New Generation Repliroids. Here Axl says that he and the New Generation can’t go Irregular thanks to their special chip, if I’m not mistaken, to which Pallette asks him to give her his own Copy Chip for the data analysis to see if it’s true. Axl replies with “I’m no Irregular, I’m hunting them for crying out loud“ or something like that... Sigh... Yeah, buddy... You sure don’t remember anything that has happened to you before Red picked you up... You’re no Irregular right now and you can’t be like them at least until Lumine takes control of you in X9 or something, but can we be sure that you was OK before you met Red Alert’s leader? Sorry, got a bit thoughtful here. Returning to my normal commentary in the next part.
