「ロックマンX7」Rockman X7 Walkthrough (JP, ENG SUB) — Part 4, Battleship - Splash Warfly, X’s Return

I’m continuing to upload my translation of X7. Took a month-long break from it because of school and me recording X1, IHX (X’s Side) and X8 (which are completed already, I’m just uploading thim really slowly), but I can’t let this stuff just sit here, unpubnlished. Skip the part where you’ll see a bit of russian, I’m just explaining some stuff to my russian-speaking audience. XD And now, back to english. ===== About emulation, I think I can emulate X7 without any fear because I own Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 that does not want to run the games I needed well. Although I know this will not work when I’ll eventually need to record Command Mission. Blame CAPCOM for not re-releasing this game, Irregular Hunter X and GameBoy titles that are important. There’re some audio lags here and there, and I now know how to solve that problem, but I don’t want to suffer my way through this game again (especially the last two stages). You still can read the subtitles. Only voiced dialogues will be translated. Not Alia’s navigation, nor Dr. Right’s Capsules’ messages. Timestamps for the story bits: Irregular Dialogues: 7:07 Scenes after the stage: 11:03 ===== Yeah... after experiencing X8 again, X7 just looks so much worse and feels worse to play. It’s not really a Rockman game too. But I still can’t tell you enough how much I prefer those “after mission“ cut-scenes over non-CGI scenes in X8. Those were able to be so much more atmospheric and feel more real with only some artworks and the AUTOSCROLLING text I can’t understand why they got rid of it in the next game. X8 is still atmospheric in its own way, but those X7’s cut-scenes feel much more alive for me personally. Back on track. I heard someone calling this stage, Michael Bay’s favorite stage, and, yup, I can see why. This mishmash of different assets isn’t that hard, actually. But it’s so loud... Runnerbombs are just trying to get their own fleet to the bottom of the sea ’cuz Splash Warfly said so, Jeez... The most troublesome part here that I can remember is that mid-boss who shoots large energy shots at you and the only way you can get rid of them is to destroy all of the cannons on their body (and those cannons shoot you back too!). Try to maneuver between the shots with dash-jump or something. And in terms of saving Repliroids - this stage is also a walk in the park. I got them all first rry, not even knowing where they all were. After destroying his entire fleet, our talking sushi friend finally appears. There was something between him and Axl before. Maybe jealousy? And when we get to fight h-... wut. Yeah, for some reason, in japanese version, Warfly spawns on a different platform which creates some inconsistencies, as you can see. This was fixed in the international release. Guess localization did something nice with what they had. Hooray? “Obliviously Not a Water Fly“ oppotent isn’t really hard, but you need to aim at his really precisely with his weakness - Voltornado for X\Axl and Raijinshou for Zero. This is harder to do with Zero, but Zero lands more powerful hits with this technique, especially if you’re giving all the chip upgrates to him. Warfly will immediately go back in water when he gets hit with the weakness, so he’s pretty easy. Just do not let him stay on the ground for long when his HP is low - Warfly spawns flying fish mechaniloids that will constantly chase you until you destroy them, wasting the precious Weapon Energy (if you don’t have Zero right now), or until they blow up after hitting you. Eventually, we kill him, get his weapons (Splash Laser for X and Axl/ Suiretsusen D Glaive for Zero) and go back to the base. Here we get a scene where Axl keeps telling his partner how much Red Alert has changed leading to his decidion to leave the group completely. Zero’s responses here really show how much he got attached to the gingerhead. Axl also mentions that no one at the Red Alert had the tech to power up Repliroids with DNA data... Also, X is finally back. My next video will be about alternative scenes with X and me showing how to get Foot Parts of Glide Armor. Stay tuned! (God this description is long)
