「ロックマンX8」Rockman X8 Playthrough (JAP) — Part 1, Troia Base - Optic Sunfloward

While I still have a lot of free time, I decided to record myself going through X8. Turns out, game lags less if you turn off the music or sound effects. So I decided to turn off the music and now I’ll be adding it back in through the power of my okay-ish editing skills. But I also decided to change some things around after hearing X8-s beta soundrack (mostly Stage Start\Clear, Weapon Get, Troia Base and (especially) Primrose’s beta tracks that are making me question why did they downgrade the soundtrack in some ways. Before you ask, boss theme is from Rockman Dystopia album. I liked it so much that I decided to put in here. But I speeded it up by 5% to probably avoid getting copyright claim. ----------- After meeting our new Navigators, Layer and Pallette, and getting an option to go on missions without Alia babysitting you, we’re heading to our first Irregular. Here I chose Optic Sunfloward since, not only they was my first ever Irregular I’ve actually beaten in X-series title, but they’re the closest to Hunter Base than any of other 7 Irregulars (being in control of hunters’ virtual training facility “Troia Base“, mainly of its management program “Helios“, at least at the moment of him turning Irregular... We are already having two mythos being refereced in one single stage. Don’t worry, Zero-series goes after X-series. X8 is a speck in the eye comparing to any of Zero titles, which are just a huge log in the eye full of references to myths) This stage is really difficult if you don’t use Axl. So, if you don’t want to be stuck on this stage for a longer time (and Troia Base already took me even longer than Icy Penguigo’s stage from IHX) - use the Gingerhead and Busterarm\Saberblondie as your second character of choice. And, no matter the fact I still remember how happy I was when I’ve finally beaten this stage, I can’t help but really hate it as the first stage in the game. I should’ve went with Dynasty stage, but that would be cheating since it’s a Ride Chaser stage. Especially 2nd, 4th and pre-final tests that take so long I just... quited. It was 2-3 weeks ago and I decided to try again only now. Well, at least now it will be a bit easier. Also, as you can see, I decided to battle Cutman projection for the first time. I’m a bit bad at it, and I kinda feel like it would’ve been better if I just didn’t even try to challenge myself even more, but that’s not really the reason why I really wanted to record this thing. My channel will soon be about Rockman lore, not just X DiVE or, occasionally, gameplay of non-Rockman franchise game. I want to ask others, do this little secret have at least some canonicy and what could it mean if it is? Just a food for your thought, why not. Finnaly, my first Irregular I’ve ever beaten... We met once again. And I absolutely LOVE this... ehm... thing. Not only their voice is a masterpiece on its own, but their weapon is... SO GOOD it basically makes Axl twice more powerful than he already is which is always a good sign for me personally ^.^ (well, he’s the weakest of the trio, but Ray Gun makes him great in beating large hords of enemies). Sunfloward is dangerous when they go into Overdrive mode, and here you also need Axl if you want to be extra safe (you can jump-dash in the right moment, but I’ve only dodged two lasers this way. It works but it’s risky). We put a sun-loving sunflower to sleep, get really broken weapon for Axl... and I guess other light-based weapons for X and Zero, and go back to the base. Fun Fact: sound effects on Results screen (minus Signas’ commentary) are a part of soundtrack. No joke, I needed to record the results screen with only musc on in order to not make everything sound akward. I don’t think I need to explain you all what happens in that dialogue. Again, X8’s localisation is pretty faithful to the original and I have almost no place left to decribe the scene in it’s entirety. This description is already long enough.
