「ロックマンX7」Rockman X7 Walkthrough (JP, ENG SUB) — Part 1, Tunnel Base - Vanishing Gungaroon

About emulation, I think I can emulate X7 without any fear because I own Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 that does not want to run the games I needed well. Although I know this will not work when I’ll eventually need to record Command Mission. Blame CAPCOM for not re-releasing this game, Irregular Hunter X and GameBoy titles that are important. Timestamps for those who’s here only for the story bits: Irregular Dialogues: 7:29 Scene after the first stage: 16:00 There’s no canon order of playing through this game, much like every other Rockman title, so I decided to pick the stage that follows the continuity of the scene that happens after the first stage (about Axl revealing the reason why he left Red Alert). Stages that require A-Trans in order to save all 16 Injured Repliroids are out. If I’m right, those are Stonekong, Hyenard and Ariquick’s stages. I felt like starting from the stage that: almost entirely consists of Ride Chaser segment; a dancing onion that suppose to be Axl’s friend in localization (which is not the case in original, I think?) wasn’t right, as well as starting from an Airship level with a crow tengu as a boss, and a Battleship stage with a flying fish as a boss that apparently hates Axl felt somehow wrong too (probably because the stages themselfs seemed hard or something)... So yeah, I only had one choice -- I needed to start from beating the crap out of a child in his cute toy! Never make my mistakes. It was horrible. At least for me and my “awesome“ gaming skills. Actually, I thought this stage itself will be awful because it’s entirely in 3D. I was wrong. I actually liked this stage. This game is fun so far, not gonna lie. I might need to take my words back soon enough, but so far so good. This stage has a lot of Ride Armors and they actually look more cool and intimidating than in X8. X8 claimed that those Ride Armors were old, but then we have VAVA V’s Devil Bear that has the same proportions as those old armors. Ride Armors are fun to control, although the hit detection here is wierd. As you can see, some Injured Repliroids do not register as “saved“ at first and same goes with the doors that lead into next sections. Also, yes, I really wanted Ride Armor in the boss room so I was trying to play it save so I was shooting down huge robots with kid’s pistol. The fact that it’s possible to kill those enemies with tiny bullets just amuses me. I’m just trying to remember some bullshit moments in this stage. Gimme a minute. Well, actually, I think the only problems for me with this stage are the fact that hit detection is wierd and this stage’s boss -- Vanishing Gungaroon. ...Or is it Banishing Gungaroon? Actually two versions might work since Vanishing can refer to the fact that the boss jumps from side to side really quickly (with the afterimage effect even), and Banishing can refer to the fact that he’s... well, a fighting Repliroid that banishes his opponents with his fists? Anyway, this child (hee-hee) is adorable, but he’s an absolute monster in the gameplay. I’m beating this game on Hard Mode btw. This makes Gungaroon’s HP amount bigger and that wouldn’t be that big of an issue if HE DIDN’T HAVE TWO HEALTH BARS. His Ride Armor is slow and not that hard to destroy without even using a Ride Armor (that you might not even have), but then the kid goes on a rampage and tries to beat the crap out of hunters with his bare fists and feet. Gungaroon not only has more HP than the Ride Armor, but also his attacks are fast and he himself is fast. I made a lot of dumb mistakes during this battle. But I also was battling the camera during this fight (not even Sonic Adventure1/2 had camera this bad. it does not turn on its own during this fight at all X_X). I’m kinda glad that the game was lagging during this fight though. Sure, it makes the video longer and this make is sound abysmal, but it made my job easier. And thank God, eventually I finish Gungaroon off with Axl on exteremely low health. And then that scene happens. Scene were Axl explain to Zero why he ran away from Red Alert (which is A-Trans if you didn’t know). It’s just a game, I know, but I thought that seeing this cut-scene after Stonekong’s stage will be dumb. He’s next by the way.
