Alaskan, Off-Grid, Power House Project (Floor System)

Good morning from the mountains. I spent Labor Day weekend at the cabin, building a floor-system with my 9-year-old grandson Drox (just the two of us). I don’t remember the last time I enjoyed a weekend so much. He is all bright lights and inquisitiveness and loves nothing more than pounding nails and cutting boards with grandpa. The floors-system is built, tarped off. It is ready for the snow, which is creeping further down the mountains every night now. I don’t plan to do anymore work on this powerhouse project for a few months. By that time the snow will be quite deep and it will be cold out. Next week I plan to head up the Yukon River with my youngest son and spend a few days in moose camp. There is some spectacular country up that way and plan to show it to you when I get back. I think you will enjoy the trip.
