Titles read: “PICCADILLY POLICEMAN“. London. M/S of advertising billboards at Piccadilly Circus; fast pan across to street sign reading ’Piccadilly Circus’ and ’Swan and Edgar’ sign on the wall. Tilt down to show a policeman talking to a middle-aged woman. Several more shots of the policeman talking to people and giving directions. The light on the police box flashes and the bobby picks up the phone and speaks into it in a cheery manner. Brief shot of newspaper seller. More shots of the policeman answering questions, intercut with shots of traffic going around the circus and people walking along. He answers another call, then walks into the road to direct traffic so pedestrians can cross. He talks to his sergeant, then takes off his helmet to mop his brow with a handkerchief.
