Cars and buses pass the camera. Lots of pedestrians on the street - three young girls hold hands. The girls look at the sign for the Underground then walk down the steps of the subway. Close up of a girls hand tracing a route on an Underground map. We see them in the underground. They walk past a smiling policeman. Ticket machines are shown. A girl inserts money (signs are visible in old money - e.g. “6d and 3d or change for 1/- or 2/-“). She takes out their tickets. A ticket inspector clips them. C/U of their feet as they step on to the escalator. Shot of them as they come down the escalator. One of the girls looks scared as she steps off. They walk on to the platform.
