Dan Wheldon, two times Indianapolis 500 winner in 2005 and 2011 died Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway after his car got launched in the massive 15-car pileup on Lap 11, flew over another vehicle and landed in a catch fence just outside turn 2.
