Hello dear followers, after many requests, here’s reels video about building sourdough starter from scratch. To do this you only need flour and water.
Here , I used rye flour since this flour gives better activity. You can use any flour. Even you can mix your bread flour with rye flour or whole wheat flour.
If you began with only rye flour ,after 4 days you can begin adding bread flour.
Day 1:
40g rye flour 40g water mix well and cover it (not tight)
Leave for 48 hrs at room temp
Day 3:
Take 25 g from first day starter add 50 g flour 50 g water
mix well and cover lightly.
Leave for 12 hrs at room temp.
After 12 hrs
Take 25 g from starter add 50 g flour 50 g water
mix well and cover lightly .
Leave for 12 hrs at room temp.
Day 4 & 5 & 6:
Repeat process of Day 3
Continue by feeding your starter twice a day until the starter to rise double .
As soon as your starter rises double you can
start making bread.
