Transcanal stapedotomy for oval window dysplasia in children
(Language: english/french). Right transcanal stapedotomy for a congenital oval window dysplasia and malformed stapes superstructure which is not connected to the bony stapes footpate in a 10 year old child. Teunissen-Cremers Class IV malformation. The footplate is fixed and really thick. The stapedotomy is performed using a combination of a hand-held Diode laser (NeoV) and a diameter diamond dust burr. The drilling out procedure is more difficult and takes more time than for a basic stapes fixation. O
