Oxford explosion: Fireball erupts leaving sky ‘pulsating with flames & smoke’

RESIDENTS in Oxford were left shocked when a mystery fireball erupted in the sky after a massive explosion tonight. Terrified locals were told that the mystery bang was caused by a lightning strike at a waste plant, according to cops. The bolt ignited gas containers and caused a huge bang which left the sky “pulsating with flames and smoke“ this evening. Cops confirmed that no one was hurt in the blaze in Yarnton but warned that the A40 was closed off. Locals were also urged to stay indoors and shut their windows and doors after the fireball chaos. A number of concerned citizens took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their concerns about the shock phenomenon.
