Madleen Kane: Cover Girl [Full Album + Bonus] (1985)

Following “Sounds Of Love“, Madleen Kane released her 4th album “Don’t Wanna Lose You“ in October 1981 produced by Giorgio Moroder. It was followed by an extensive tour in 1982 while 1983-84 saw her in the middle of a divorce from her husband (and producer) Jean-Claude Friedrich. By 1985 she resumed her recording career with the album “Cover Girl“, recorded in London, written and produced by Ian Anthony Stephens and Paul Parker. The album took Madleen into a new direction with Hi-Energy being the electronic dance music of the mid-80s. Released only in the US, the album did not do all that well, and Madleen expressed in her biography Rough Diamond (published 2018) that she was not too surprised. Soon after she was expecting her son Victor and decided to withdraw from the music scene all together. Sadly the 90s saw Madleen fall into alcoholism and loneliness due to a second unhappy marriage.
