The rectangular model has less wind resistance if it is going backwards. (Location of events unknown.) We then see a man getting into the driver’s seat of a car designed to be driven backwards. He drives it along a city street, over tramlines. (Location of events unknown - looks a bit like Piccadilly in London.) C/U of an Air Raid Warden blowing a whistle to warn of an air raid in a village (daylight). People pick up piglets and chickens and take them to an animal air raid shelter (labelled ’Pop’s Retreat’) built on a smallholding. A dog makes his own way in.
