Loon Egg Arrives - Long Version

Watching the loons from the first contraction, till the pair leave the area, this 56 minute video from LPC’s LoonCam 2 live stream, shows the moment the egg arrives, turning the egg, switching incubation roles and finally leaving the nest. It is common for the first egg of a clutch to be left along until the second one arrives. This helps the eggs hatch around the same time, an important aspect of the survival of both chicks.
