Lee-On-Solent Naval Display (1962)

Unissued / unused material. Ex-Naval Flyers see modern day naval display at Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire. Naval personal gathering to watch display Panning LS Sea Vixon aircraft passing over HMS Ariel Royal Navy airfield. VS display given by the Naval Helicopter Rescue Unit. The helicopter flies in and picks up man from ground the way they would if he was in the water. Various ground to air shots of aircraft passing over HMS Ariel. The aircraft include Sea Devons, Herons, Buccaneer Swordfish and Gannets. VS vintage aeroplanes flying past. VS audience watching the air display, most of them are Royal Navy aviation veterans. Several shots carnival parade with nautical theme. VS Vickers VA 1 hovercraft giving display. More shots audience.
