Anton Zimmermann - concerto per il Violone in D/ 2 Violini/ Viola, 2 Corni and Basso.

Unpublish new version of second/ or probably first/ concerto from Anton Zimmermann in D major. It was written for Franz Kempfer, who was Double bass player of Bathyány hoffkapelle in Bratislava in that time (around 1779). This version of concerto is written specially for Viennese tuning double bass, called also Viennese Violone/ Contrabass, A. Zimmermann wrote specially “Violone“ at the manuscripts. This recording is first edition of this concerto made by my self in the year 2021. There is one more of the same version processed by Moritake Jamato, my Japanese friend and double bass player in Vienna. but I did not find any video or recording of it. I played/ recorded this concerto at the Double Bass with tuning of thirds so called Viennese tuning, but using “normal metal strings“.
