RMI Expression 5 Bass 33“ Scale (bolt-on model) - Mark Ramsay

Audio from phone camera. I’ve put a selection of clips together from recent experiments and rehearsals using the new Expression bolt-on model (see the thru neck version video as well). This bass features a 16mm string spacing, ultra low action, ramp (optional - can be removed), Kent Armstrong humbuckers, 3EQ active/passive, 7 piece maple/swamp ash neck, bound ebony fretboard, slimline swamp ash body with streamlined neck joint for seemless access to the 24th fret. Tuned E-C with Rotosound strings (gauge 100, 80, 60, 40, 30) Weighing just , I’m excited about this bass. I designed it rather indulgently to fit my personal concept and technique. Working a lot with guitar, I’ve wanted a more hybrid feeling bass that allows me the freedom to play music the way I hear it one instrument.
