Rembrandt’s portrait of his wife Saskia goes on tour | National Gallery

Rembrandt’s ’Saskia van Uylenburgh in Arcadian Costume’ is travelling the UK in 2022 and 2023 as part of our Masterpiece tour. Ed, one of our Educators, and Laura, our Associate Curator of Renaissance Painting, explore the stories surrounding this portrait of Rembrandt’s wife, Saskia van Uylenburgh. The National Gallery Masterpiece Tour 2021–23 offers three non-London museums, galleries or art centres the opportunity to partner with the National Gallery for three years and to display one different major work from our collection each year. 🎞 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and never miss a video: Follow us on social media! ⭐️ Facebook ⭐️ ⭐️ Twitter ⭐️ ⭐️ Instagram ⭐️ ⭐️ TikTok ⭐️ @nationalgallerylondon?
