Commemorating Ambassador Oshima Kenzo, a true humanitarian

A short film in memory of late Ambassador Mr. Oshima Kenzo who passed away in May 2021, which features his lifetime contributions for humanitarian affairs. Ambassador Oshima was a former Under-Secretary General and Emergency Relief Coordinator (USG/ERC) from 2001 to 2003, and Japan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2004 to 2007. The film, jointly produced on the occasion of the 3rd INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group) Global Meeting on October 6, 2021, by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, UNOCHA and JICA, includes messages from Mr. Ueno Atushi (Director, International Cooperation Bureau, MOFA Japan) and Mr. Martin Griffiths (USG/ERC), and photos of Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) team provied by JICA.
