Making a Candlestand Side Table. These Candlestands are handmade of solid, spectacularly figured Tiger Maple or curly maple from a single plank 3” thick and 15 1/2” wide. Details for these tables include a vase and ring turned post, a serpentine top with ovolo corners, and hand shaped cabriole style legs with arris feet. The finish is a water based aniline dye followed by Royal Lac Each profiled top is made from a solid piece of tiger maple 16 1/2” x 15 1/8”. The overall table height is 27 1/2”. The design for this table is based on a variety of fine antique examples from the Connecticut River Valley including Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
