The log walls are almost at full height. I have two courses to go on the long (eave) walls and four courses on the gable end walls (well 4 for now anyway).
This coming week I will be setting the summer beam. It is the main timber that runs the full length of the cabin and supports the roof structure. Once it is in place I will begin framing the roof itself.
The weather has warmed up considerable this past week. We were -10F last week and now we are in the high 30s. The snow is melting rapidly and I might have to shed my insulated coveralls.
I am looking forward to the spring and can’t wait to show you the changing seasons here. Meanwhile, enjoy this week’s video!
Peace to you my friends.
