WESTERN TERRACE TAKES SHAPE | Latest Everton Stadium drone footage

The upper walkway of the western terrace at Everton Stadium will soon reveal itself. Concrete floor slabs have been poured on the expansive first level which, in conjunction with cascading steps down to ground level, will provide spectacular views out across the River Mersey. The steel framework on the southern half of the western terrace was completed in the final months of 2023, with concrete rakers already in place to support the double-stepped terracing units due to be installed soon. And the upper walkway, which will allow restricted access to the stadium, will soon add another visual element to the overall build. Meanwhile, the installation of 1,250 LED panels to make up the giant screen in the south stand is well underway. The screen in the north stand was fully installed before the Christmas and new year shutdown. Glazed panels are also extending across the upper steelwork in the exterior of the south stand. The ‘wall of glass’ will eventually provide a stunning contrast to the towering, angled steelwork and first floor concourse below. At ground level the supporting columns are being encased, using specially made moulds that fix around the steel base and cast a concrete surround to the steelwork to protect the sub-structure. External drainage is also being laid across the length of the south stand, prior to paving commencing.
