Homemade Keto Maple Syrup (Low Carb, Vegan, Gluten Free) | The Frugal Chef

This homemade keto maple syrup is very easy to make and tastes just like maple syrup. We are going to flavor this with maple extract. I used butter extract as well but that is not necessary. Obviously, it is not perfect and does not have the same exact consistency as real maple syrup but it is definitely a great substitute. Store bough keto maple syrup can be very pricy and this is a more budget friendly alternative. I used Swerve brown sweetener for this and found that my syrup had a bit of an aftertaste. I then made another recipe with Lakanto golden Monk Fruit and, in my opinion, had less aftertaste. So, you decide which one you prefer. We are going to thicken this with Xantham gum. Xantham gum is flavorless, gluten free and vegan. Great for making keto recipes.
