Here we’re honored to view this elegant visual performance of Eleanor Parker, acting as famous Australian performer, Marjorie Lawrence. Another unique situation; Ms. Parker, fine voice, sang this part, but in a lower octave. Her voice was “replaced“ by Ms. Eileen Farrell, as previously agreed upon by the studio. Happily, both of their careers soared ever higher after the release of this film! From Interrupted Melody, 1955! Ms. Parker was nominated that year for the Best Actress!
