Follow me : Twitter : Facebook : Instagram : How to make gluten free brownies with cocoa - dark chocolate date bars - 1 cup dates 1 cup walnuts (or nut of choice) 4 tablespoons dark, unsweetened cocoa powder Line an 8x4 inch (10x20 cm) bread loaf pan with parchment paper, letting it hang from the sides. If you are using Medjool dates you can skip this step. If you are not, place the dates in a bowl and cover with hot water. Soak for 10 minutes. Place the nuts in a food processor and process until coarsely chopped. Remove the dates from the water and add them. Add the cocoa powder. Process until it resembles brownie batter. Mine had a little bit of dates in them and they were divine. Press the brownie into the prepared bowl with damp hands. Try and keep it even. Place the pan in the fridge for 20 minutes. Remove the brownies from the pan by pulling out the paper. Cut them as small or large as you like. Store them in the fridge, wrapped in parchment paper, in a closed container. They will last you for 2 to 3 weeks. You can also freeze them for up to two months. Music courtesy of Artlist - Avner Kelmer - Bread and Breakfast
