Join 1News in Auckland as the Sky Tower is lit for five-minutes and 30 seconds with a fireworks display as the clocks strike midnight. It will start with a 10-second countdown projected onto the base of the tower, followed by 500kg of pyrotechnics which will be launched from three purpose-built firing sites mounted onto the Sky Tower.
