Wild Gambusia holbrooki

Watch these wild mosquito fish swarm over a piece of tortilla. If you love wild livebearers and Poeciliids, South Florida is the place to be. These are Western Mosquito fish or Gambusia holbrroki. They stay mostly in freshwater lakes, while their cousin Gambusia rhizophorae sticks to marine estuaries and brackish canals. While these fish look like guppies, they are not that closely related and can’t hybridize (which is good). Subscribe►: Crustacean World Order
