He was born in Queens, New York, but raised on the North Side of Chicago. It was Chicago’s culture and artists such as Kanye and Dom Kennedy, along with family and friends, that influenced JayLifted to start his career at the age of 15. He has come a long way since then, now 21 years old with three previous released mixtapes. He is currently working on a new EP, Lifted Meets World which was inspired by his favorite TV show growing up, “Boy Meets World.“ Just as some characters in the show, he never cared much about school, his music was always his main focus. He wants others to hear the music, see the skits, and get the message that anything is possible. The EP, produced by Jake Taylor and Jack Flash, will include seven tracks and is expected to drop within the next month.
