A favourite piece which i recorded in a café in Havana 20 years ago - no but seriously ... I’ve always loved this piece, sometimes known as the theme from Black Orpheus, and wanted to do my version. There are many great versions out there, but i particularly liked the “Jim Hall quartet featuring Paul Desmond“ version, and jazz aficionados will recognise the Desmond lines in the second improvised chorus i do.
