Easy scones recipe

Next up in embassy chef Roy’s series of great British recipes: scones Ingredients: 750g Self-raising flour (or 720g flour mixed with 30g baking powder) ½ tsp Salt 2 tsp Baking powder 170g (Cold) Butter cut into cubes 6 tbsp caster sugar 350 ml Warm milk 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1 Squeeze Lemon juice Beaten egg to glaze These quantities are for a party-sized portion but scones freeze well (and who ever regretted having too many scones?)
