David Olusoga is very much an historian of our times. He is in great demand for his relaxed and demotic approach to studying the past, but this sometimes leads him into error. He writes in today’s Guardian newspaper about a new BBC television programme which he has produced, called Statue Wars: One Summer in Bristol
