The First Genocide of the Twentieth Century

Most of us know about the Holocaust that took place in Europe between 1941 and 1945, but not many of us know about Germany’s first racially motivated genocide, which also doubles as the first genocide of the 20th century. Did you know that long before the events of WWII, the concentration camps that we have come to collectively associate with Germany’s Third Reich and the Jewish Holocaust, had been used in Germany’s Second Reich on Africans?
