Mobilisation 1914 - the call to arms. World War One. Mobilisation in France. (a montage of scenes; some great shots.) CUs notices affixed to walls - in French of course DS crowd of people walking on boulevard. Tracking shot from car; looking back at crowd in street - waving French flags; hats; etc.; shouting. Farther up street there are some USA flags mixed w/ French -may actually be Armistice celebration? Broken shop windows in French liquor store (vandalism & looting?). Boxes falling out from top of window;people pick up boxes. Soldiers moving people away. Woman begins to sweep. DS Paris street. - many pedestrians etc. soldiers march down street. Men in shiny helmets on horseback. Automobiles; horse-drawn vehicles. Looking down at many French soldiers marching through gates; people on sides w/ umbrellas.
