King Peter I Mobilisation Decree (1914)

King Peter I of Serbia with Premier Nikola Pasic and other ministers; giving the mobilisation decree at the very beginning of World War One. This is a rather great scene; actually; it looks like the interior of a very luxurious tent; the walls are covered with carpets or tapestries; very exotic looking. King Peter wears a military uniform with a hat that has a plume sticking straight up like a brush. Serbian mobilisation started c.c. July 24; 1914; but the fact that he’s in a tent - he spent a lot of time at the front during the war - would seem to indicate that this is a bit later; perhaps August.
