Strobe Obsession 1997

This is the ’studio’ version of the same track that originally appeared as a live cut on the ’Bunker Sessions’ CD / LP recorded in 1995. ’Obsession’ was re-recorded and mixed in Strobe’s home town of Hitchin, Hertfordshire in 1997 for the ’Alienation CD album. John plays bass in a ’looser’ style here and is noticeably different to the solid ’fuzz bass’ style of Andy White who played on the original. Mitch also added ’Whammy bar bends’ between the guitar riff which didn’t appear in the original.
