The AVPU Scale

This video is part of a new series of basic clinical skills videos. It demonstrates how to assess a patient’s level of consciousness using the AVPU scale - Alertness, Voice responsiveness, Pain responsiveness, Unresponsive. Once assessment is complete, report that the patient is A, V, P or U on the AVPU scale.
