DPRK kicks off first int’l air show to boost tourism in eastern coastal city of Wonsan

The DPRK kicked off its first international air show on Saturday at the newly upgraded Kalma International Airport in the eastern coastal city of Wonsan. The two-day event includes aerobatic flying shows and a parachuting display. Tourists also have the opportunity to take a 30-minute aerial sightseeing tour during the festival. Most aircraft on display are Russian-made, including Ilyushin Il-18 passenger planes, Mig-29 and Su-25 jet fighters and Tupolev Tu-154 airliners.
