Vyshinsky At UN (1947)

Unissued / unused footage - dates and locations unknown or unclear. Location of events unknown - United States of America? September 1947. Quick shot of delegates at the United Nations meeting listening to translated speeches through headphones. General view of meeting as Andre Vyshinsky (Vishinsky) walks up to the rostrum. The delegates listen as Vyshinsky makes his speech in Russian (?), speaking forcefully and with many gestures. He walks back to his seat amid much applause. C/U cut in shot of Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt chatting to George Marshall (US Delegate). We hear part of another speech, then an announcement in French that the session is adjourned. The delegates get up and walk about. Sound is very poor. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
