DIY FLOPPY DRIVE CNC: Part 3 - Parallel Port Monitor (Parmon)

After blowing my nose and having a coffee... :P If you are following the series, we now have an open floppy drive and a parallel port interface, how do we make them work together? We need to control the pins from the printer (parallel) port so that we trigger our floppy drive stepper motor. To change the state of the printer port pins from 0v (off) to 5v (on), we use a program called Parmon, get it here - Note: If you don’t have a windows 98/XP computer to use, you could skip this step. We are only using parmon to show how the printer port data pins and floppy drive interface works and to test our connections.
