Brixham Regatta. Originally part of News in a Nutshell - international news stories in brief.
Brixham, Devon.
Annual trawler race for the King’s Cup. Various shots of trawlers. We see a cannon being fired from front of one of the boats. Various shots of trawlers sailing out to sea. It is a very calm day with no wind so the boats move very slowly. ’Valesian’ wins the race and her crew cheer.
The item is filmed from the race committee’s boat - we hear the officials talking to each other through out race in strong west country accents.
