I am very proud to unveil the new EP from Sápmi Black Metal project, Ruohtta – releasing this Friday, 17th February through Realm and Ritual. Grim, bitterly executed lo-fi slabs of black metal primitivism performed in the indigenous Swedis languages of Meänkieli and Sámi that blow through phases of furious energies to detached coolness. Consistently releasing intriguing, outsider styled black metal, this EP once again delivers something slightly oblique to expectations, with its darkly needling tones and interlaced rhythms of dour, minimalist post punk, present in both the moment of feral savagery as well as icy stillness. The album will be available to order this Friday 17th from Realm and Ritual, limited to 50 hand-numbered pro-dubbed pearl white cassettes with double-sided pad print and 4- panel J-card.
