Old Rusty Clamps Restoration

Hello folks! Today I want to show you a new restoration. I bought these wonderful old clamps from the 20th century at a flea market. These are great tools. Moreover, I really like to collect and buy old tools of the past years. The condition of the clamps is bad, but I will fix it. This restoration project is going to be a lot of fun. Well, let’s start the restoration! 0:00 Review 0:24 Remove rust 0:52 Tools disassembly 2:35 Rust remover liquid 3:30 Wire iron brush 3:55 Paint remove 4:29 Clamp bars correction 5:01 Wood handle 7:30 Assembling 8:32 Final review 8:58 Test time The first duty I did was to remove the first layer of rust and start disassembling the tool. Next, I put all the iron parts in a rust remover. With the help of a iron wire brush, I cleaned the metal and applied a paint remover to the corners of the parts. There was still some old paint left. I made new wooden handles for clamps from beech wood. Rings for the handle are copper, rivets are brass. As a result, I received two new vintage working clamps, I am glad. Well, as always, I made a clamp test for you. Thanks for your attention Thank you for attention! Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
