Dr. Gillespie’’s Criminal Case (1943) Lionel Barrymore, Van Johnson, Donna Reed

Dr. Leonard Gillespie (Lionel Barrymore) presses prison officials about one of his former patients, convicted murderer Roy Todwell (John Craven), trying to convince them that Todwell is dangerously insane and should be committed to a mental hospital. Meanwhile, rival doctors Randall “Red“ Adams (Van Johnson) and Lee Wong How (Keye Luke) attempt to convince embittered veteran Alvin Peterson (William Lundigan) to accept and overcome the disability he received in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
