Heights Of Danger Reels 1 & 2 (1950-1959)

Road building site. A Taylor Woodrow truck pulls up and young Chris talks to the driver. He runs to his father’s garage where his dad and older brother Wilfred are working on a car. A motor cyclist arrives and is given directions and drives away. Inside the garage office the older brother suggest his father enter a mountain rally and win £500 prize money. Outside a car toots, and the driver enters the office. The children watch as the man offers to buy the garage. He departs in his smart big car. The by pass construction is hampering the garage sales, and won’t be completed for another three months. The man knows the bypass will prove profitable for the garage in the future. He drives away. Outside, the father (John Burton) and his son work on a M.G. John puts a sign No 26 in the M.G. window. He drives to the start of a local Hill Climb. The children are with a bumbling man who’s car door falls off, he wants to see the car hill climb. The children take him. The M.G. starts the race, other cars speed round
