Gulf War Tornado airfield attack with radio transcript

XV Sqn RAF based in Bahrain during the first Gulf War. Footage shows aircraft departing for the first air strikes of the war. Radio transcript of actual attack on Iraqi airfield by XV Sqn Tornado armed with JP233 airfield denial weapon. Most of the dialogue is spoken by the navigator in the rear seat. You can hear the crackling as the JP233 discharge their sub-munitions. The JP233 had a minimum release height of 500ft so the low level Tornados actually had to climb to 500 ft during the attack. After the weapon canisters have been jettisoned, you can hear the navigator say to the pilot “lets get back down, 220 feet“. Of course this is at night in total darkness. The video footage accompanying the radio transcript is obviously not footage of the attack. The film was compiled by TV-AM war correspondent for XV Sqn.
