C/U Photo in book, he tears it out and eats it. M/S bookstall, he picks out book and looks at it. C/U book, he tears out page and starts eating. M/S eating, walking along street, passer-by turns round and watches. M/S approaching Post-office, puts halfpennies in machine, takes out stamps looks at them and eats them. C/U putting stamps in mouth. M/S walking along street, stops at tobacco kiosk and asks for cigarettes. C/U takes cigarette from packet, puts in mouth light and puffs, then eats it. Repeats procedure. C/U Assistant’s reaction. M/S from inside kiosk, he lights another cigarette and eats. C/U packet of tobacco, he takes paper off puts tobacco on counter and eats wrapping. CU Assistant’s reaction, puts hand to forehead. L/S walks to flower stalls buys flower and eats it. C/U of reactions from two flower-sellers. C/U Sprinkling salt
