Eccentricity (1930)

A very short comedian dressed in a big baggy suit and smoking like a chimney does a routine for the camera. He does a kind of india rubber dance, wiggles his shirt front around, and pretends to be pulled by a string. His name is “Chaz“ and apparently he has the knack of contracting and expanding as he wishes. It sounds strange but is actually quite impressive - probably done through a trick with his trousers! C/U of Chaz lighting a cigarette. He lights and smokes both ends. He then lights and eats matches. He then starts tearing pieces off his shirt front and eating them. Was an item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 629. Note: flash-frame intertitles. This is probably Chaz (or Chas) Chase who is found in other Pathe items including 48/82.
